Model history

The Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 was developed in 1974 as the road version of the legendary RS. While European models used the MFI system with 210 hp, the US version was equipped with the Bosch K-Jetronic system with initially 175 hp, later 165 hp and 160 hp in California due to emissions regulations. Visually, it resembled the RS with its wide body and partial "Ducktail" rear. Today, the US Carrera is considered a rare variant of the classic G series.
