Work started with the body; stripped, media blasted and repairs made to a few minor areas (new outer sills, kidney bowls and front wings.) Otherwise, the shell appears very straight and original, without accident damage and with good panel gaps. Repainted in a fresh coat of the original colour, Albert blue (code 325).
New seals, lenses and refinished brightwork make this sparkle.
It has the 915 5 speed gearbox which was rebuilt and operates smoothly. The engine is of the correct type and range of numbers for this model and year. It has received a full rebuild, and since covered approximately 1,000 miles. The engine received engineering upgrades that are sometimes overlooked; shuffle pinned, line honed and fitted with new cylinder barrels and pistons. The MFI has a rebuilt pump and has recently been carefully adjusted on the rolling road.
It has received a new stainless SSi exhaust system, new fuel tank and lines, all new shock absorbers, new brakes, and brake lines with rebuilt calipers.
Correctly refurbished Fuchs alloys (dated 1971) are mounted with a set of Pirelli Cinturato tyres (June 2021).
The interior has been very nicely refurbished, with excellent (reproduction) period Recaro S seats by Italian specialists Deser. These are finished in beige leather with houndstooth inserts. Matching door trims, new pockets and matching square weave carpets.
Notice too, refurbished instruments, replacement dashboard, and original Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio.
The accompanying history file provides an insight into the amount of time and money that has been invested into this 911 project.
We would class this 911 E as a Condition Grade 4; wanting for nothing, ready to drive and enjoy and, if cared for correctly, without any worry for its future.
Covering barely 1,000 since completion, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a service book and manual, keys and our own worthwhile warranty.
