This 1966 Porsche 911 2.0 is a short-wheelbase race and rally car, built to historical specifications. The car was completely rebuilt in 2009 by a Swedish rally specialist and is now a lightweight and highly responsive vehicle.
Painted in Aga Blue with classic Martini livery, the 911 has the perfect look for historic motorsport. The vehicle has FIA HTP papers No. 547 (expired) and was built with a consistent focus on performance and reliability.
The 2.0-liter aluminum engine is appropriately specified: Weber carburetors, RSR camshafts, machined cylinder heads, high-pressure pistons, a fan-style exhaust manifold, and CDI ignition ensure the right kind of power. A rally oil cooler keeps temperatures in check, while the Type 901 5-speed transmission, combined with a sintered clutch, transfers power to the Yokohama semi-slicks.
The suspension has also been consistently designed for sporty use: Bilstein racing shock absorbers, 26-mm torsion bars at the rear, polyurethane bushings on the rear axle, and standard bushings at the front. Braking is handled by ventilated discs with steel-braided lines.
The interior is minimalist and functional: Sparco bucket seats, 6-point harnesses, OMP steering wheel, ATL race tank with hood-mounted filler, plastic windows, a full roll cage, and a charming detail from the rally era: a classic Halda Tripmaster.
In short: Light, fast, built to drive, not just to look at. Perfect for the street, track days, historic rallies, or further modification, e.g., for the 2.0L Cup.
And as is often the case with well-built 911s: the list of details is longer than this text.
