Model History

The Porsche 911 was a completely new design compared to its predecessor, the 356. While the concept of an air-cooled rear engine remained, a newly developed six-cylinder boxer engine was used for the first time. Characteristic features of the G-series included bumpers with black bellows as well as chrome-plated exterior mirrors, door handles, and headlight bezels. The continuous taillight strip bears black Porsche lettering.
