Inside, the cabin has a clean, authentic early-911 feel with black leatherette seats, a four-spoke wheel, refreshed carpeting, original faux-wood dash trim, and VDO instrumentation showing 59k miles. Overall, it strikes an excellent balance between pride of ownership and real-world usability—the kind of early 911 you can enjoy without hesitation.
This is a classic longhood 911T Targa that presents very well as a driver+ example. This is not a concours car-it’s a character-filled, numbers-matching longhood Targa that’s meant to be driven and enjoyed, with the sound and feel that made early 911s special in the first place.
The original stainless Targa bar and removable roof panel are both in excellent shape and the car retains all of its signature details like the sugar-scoop headlights, vent windows, and 15″ Fuchs that really complete the stance.
Under the decklid sits the correct 2.2-liter flat-six with dual Weber carburetors, backed by a five-speed 901 gearbox. Recent attention includes ignition components, fresh plugs and wires, and a recent oil service. Porsche documentation confirms the engine and gearbox numbers remain original.
The suspension has been subtly improved with uprated shocks and Tarett Engineering front sway bar drop links, and the car retains four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The Fuchs are wrapped in 205/60 Firestones that were recently balanced.
Inside, the cabin has a great early-911 vibe with replacement black leatherette seats, a four-spoke steering wheel, refreshed carpeting, clean. dash with the original faux-wood dash trim. The gauges are all VDO, with a five-digit odometer showing 59k miles.
The car has had some recent cosmetic work including new front turn signal lenses, correct orange-bar hood badge, and fresh fender-to-cowl seals. The Targa top has been reconditioned, and the front suspension pan and fuel tank were replaced previously. There are areas of corrosion in the rear floor pans which have been treated with a rust-prohibitor along with exterior blemishes, including minor cracks in the decklid and driver’s door, which are shown in the gallery.
This is the kind of 911 you enjoy without overthinking—good bones, great feel, and just enough patina to invite real use.
