Porsche 912

The vehicle in detail

This 912 was sold new in California in june 1966. The car remained in California its entire life untill 2018 when I bought it in San Diego. It received a windows out repaint in the stunning color Golf Blue (paintcode 6603) with all new rubbers in doors, windows, front hood and bumpers, all done by the previous owner in San Diego.

Also the interior is restored to original specs with new white headliner, all new black leatherette upholstry and front seats with houndstooth insert. The original rubber floormats are also present (under the carpets).

The engine and 5 speed gearbox are matching numbers (Porsche certificate available).

In 2022 it got a complete engine rebuilt, with new (big bore 86mm/1750cc) pistons and cilinders, a Schleicher sport camshaft was already installed by a previous owner and has been re-used, giving the engine more torque in the higher revs. New Weber carburators are installed and the mechanical fuel pump is swapped for an electric pump. Also I recently installed a 1-2-3 electronic ignition for improved engine tuning.

All this results in a reliable and smooth running engine setup, producing just over 100 HP (dynosheet available).

The Bursch sport exhaust gives a great sound and adds to the fun factor, without being too loud !

The engine has less then 1000 km since rebuilt !

The gearbox shifts smoothly. Also all bushings in the shifter system have been replaced and a new clutch was  installed in 2022.
