Originally distributed by P.C. Southwest, San Antonio, Texas, through McKenzie VW Inc. and sold to W.H. Price Jr. in Corpus Christi, Texas, on May 10, 1968. Finished in the original color combination of Tangerine (color code 6809) with Black upholstery, the last year of the short-wheelbase with five-gauges. Original options listed on the Porsche Kardex include tinted windows, chrome bumperettes with rubber buffers, Koni shock absorbers, chrome-plated wheels, fog lamps, Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM radio, loudspeaker, and an antenna. According to the past owner, this 912 was stored in a garage in Palos Verdes, California, for several decades and had not been driven for some time. The previous owner purchased it in 2018 and commissioned Einmalig LTD in Huntington Beach, California, to perform a complete engine rebuild, install a power window system, power door locks, and a Kenwood touch-screen head unit with Bluetooth hands-free and a reverse backup camera.
