The vehicle was first delivered in August 1986 by PZ Glöckler (Frankfurt am Main) to the first owner = previous owner.
Due to various professional assignments within Germany, the vehicle was used by the previous owner as a long-distance vehicle and was usually parked in well-ventilated underground garages during the week (hence no cracks in the original dashboard, etc.).
In the winter of 2021/2022, a Porsche specialist carried out a comprehensive technical overhaul.

The previous owner was very attached to his 944 and had no intention of parting with it due to the extensive investments he had made. With increasing age, getting in and out of the car became difficult, so he decided with a heavy heart to sell it.
Thanks to the extensive technical overhaul, the 944 provides a perfect driving experience. The engine shows no signs of fatigue (no blue smoke when starting/shifting). Oil consumption is approx. 0.5/1000 km, depending on driving style. No leaks in the engine or transmission. The engine has deliberately not been washed in order to show its actual condition! The engine is known for its very high mileage (500,000 km) and shows no signs of age-related weakness. The transmission also shifts absolutely cleanly and precisely.
Please feel free to read Richard Lindhorst's article here on Elferspot from November 19, 2025: High mileage in a Porsche – when does it become a problem?
Rear window is tight! Sunroof works.
Only the LCD clock display is defective and the electric height adjustment of the driver's seat is not working.
Even without power steering, the 944 has excellent handling, although the steering forces are slightly higher when stationary and when maneuvering. You don't miss it when driving! In return, there are none of the familiar leaks and no loss of performance!
In 2023, the rear right side panel was damaged while maneuvering in an underground garage and repaired by a specialist company (repair receipt available).
The interior of the side panel was also cleaned and primed (a critical area for rust on the 944). Furthermore, the front of the vehicle was repainted due to numerous stone chips. Due to the above repairs, the vehicle is being sold as not accident-free. There is also no known previous damage. I purchased the vehicle as accident-free.
The body kit is original from Porsche from the first delivery!
The vehicle also includes the original 8Jx15 "dial design" rims with tires.
The vehicle is in very good technical condition, rust-free, unmodified, and in good overall visual condition. Whether on long highway stretches at 60-70 kph or winding country roads, the 944 sits firmly on the road and always provides a good and safe driving experience. The engine still has good acceleration even at higher speeds and feels like it has more than 163 hp. In combination with the 80-liter tank, ranges of 800-900 km can be achieved with normal driving! It drives as good as it looks. It's just fun to drive!
The 944 is driven regularly in dry weather to keep the seals and technology in good working order.
A valuation report dated March 2024 is available, stating a value of €22,000.
Not a distress sale! Selling due to time and space constraints.
