According to the owner, this 944 S was completely restored some time ago – in the course of this, the Porsche also received a new paint job in the original color called "Maraschino Red Metallic". This 944 is striking from the outside thanks to its Strosek add-on parts such as rocker panels, tailgate, spoiler and rear apron. According to statements by the current owner, apart from minor signs of wear corresponding to the age, no deficits can be found on the exterior, which rules out an accident. There are apparently no signs of rust on the body. There are also no parking bumps on the front or rear bumper.
Tires in good condition with sufficient profile, together with original Porsche 5-hole rims, which appear in used condition, ensure the external appearance of this 944 S. No serious defects can be found in the disc brakes, the same applies to the chassis area.
Inside, you can discover an exemplary sports car ambience with well-contoured seats: the partial leather sports seats, which are in the same color as the vehicle, are impeccable. Otherwise, there are no major defects to be attributed to the entire interior, as the interior of this Porsche is obviously in a neat and clean condition. A missing plastic cover on the shift lever for the shift gate indicator is striking. In addition to power steering, there are also central locking, electric windows and a removable sliding/tilting roof as equipment elements. All equipment features work perfectly, and all displays and instruments in the interior do their job – only the display of the clock is defective.
The numbers and displays in the instrument cluster of the Porsche 944 S are clear and easy to read: 87,630 kilometers can be read on the mechanical speedometer. After consultation with the current owner, the total mileage of the transaxle Porsche can be traced through a partially maintained service book.
190 hp are extracted from the 2.5-litre in-line four-cylinder engine with 16 valves from Porsche. Due to the transaxle design, the gearbox in this 944 is on the rear axle – the 5-speed manual gearbox works cleanly and without defects. A last service took place in December 2021, where a major service was done with the renewal of the timing belt and the power steering pump. Upcoming work is obviously not necessary at the moment.
According to the mileage, the underbody of this Porsche 944 S model shows only slight surface rust. Serious deficits on the well-preserved underside of the transaxle athlete are not to be criticized.
