The Porsche 911 of the 964 series was produced from 1989 to 1994 and marked an important development step in the history of the 911. With a design created by Benjamin Dimson, the car was given modernized lines, which stood out from its predecessor above all through harmoniously integrated bumpers. In terms of technology, the 964 brought with it numerous innovations, including the option of ordering it with all-wheel drive or the automatic Tiptronic transmission for the first time. Internally referred to as the "Type 964", the models were officially offered as the Carrera 2 and Carrera 4. Today, the model series is regarded as the link between the classic and modern generations of the 911 and enjoys great popularity among collectors.
