The last major maintenance on the customer’s behalf included restoration and replacement of suspension parts. New front control arms and rear diagonal arms, a new driveshaft, and steering joints. To provide a smooth ride without any unnecessary free play
The current draw on the parked car was solved by removing all unused additional aftermarket parts. The tach was refurbished, and every ground point in the vehicle was cleaned. All of that to make sure you can drive after you let the Carrera sit in a garage for more than a week.
Engine and transmission mounts were replaced with new OEM parts.
The airflow meter and distributor were inspected and restored back to original condition. During adjusting valve clearances, chain housing covers were resealed as well to prevent oil leaks. The front differential was resealed as well.
New spark plugs and brake fluid were some of the many other jobs completed during the maintenance.
Bodywork and a paint job were done in previous years.
This 964 Carrera 4 is ready to drive without any maintenance investment in the near future.
