As you know, we’re not the type to write long stories about our Porsches. Seeing and driving them is more important to us. But this time, let’s make an exception.
Personally, we think the 964 is the most beautiful and enjoyable 911 Porsche has ever built. Sorry, but after 1993, they haven’t been able to surpass this model. The 964 still has the classic design of the original 911, but with relatively modern technology. But not “too much” technology like the later models. This is pure driving and enjoyment, without having to exceed 200 km/h.
Okay, but what’s the best 964? The Turbo? No. Certainly fun, but still relatively heavy and a departure from the original design. In our opinion, the best 964 is the 964 Carrera RS. The last true lightweight Porsche, 160 kg lighter than a standard Carrera 2, but with a more powerful engine, bigger brakes, better seats, etc., etc.
