The car then went to Japan and drove very successfully in a few endurance races there. Each race is documented with location/race track, date, time, qualifying time, best lap, result etc. The documentation is very good. Everything in writing and also notarized!
The vehicle has never been involved in an accident and is still in excellent condition. All body parts are still original and all body part numbers match. Engine is "matching numbers" as well as the gearbox.
After the end of racing, the car was repainted once on the outside and the technology was overhauled before the car went into a private collection in Japan.
A good 18 years ago, the car was sold from Japan to Germany, received a German road registration and has since been in a German collection of a Porsche enthusiast where it has been driven from time to time. Two major and one minor service were carried out. Before delivery to the buyer, however, another service will be carried out at Porsche and new tires will be fitted.
The total mileage is just under 25,000 km.
This factory "GROUP B" specification is extremely rare - according to our information, only 4 or 5 of these 964 Carrera Cups were built in Group B Spec. We have written documents from the Porsche factory as well as the new car order / invoice which clearly prove that 498112 was ordered, built and delivered in Group B. Specification. Specification was ordered, built and delivered. All modifications are listed and clearly recorded and still installed. Only the 110 liter racing tank was removed for road approval and is no longer present.
A car like this is as rare as the "blue Mauritius" and will probably not be on the market for many years. Here is the chance to acquire such a rare piece.
