But… it has to be a car that (a) fits within a reasonable budget, (b) looks absolutely perfect, and (c) has been maintained superbly. And that makes the selection extremely small — as our extensive experience with Boxsters has taught us. But “very small” does not mean “non-existent.” Rare, yes — like a black pearl. And as luck would have it, we have a nose for rare cars, and we’ve found this Black Pearl for you.
What we are talking about is a Porsche Boxster from the year 2000, in the highly desirable 3.2 S version, which was the top model at the time. Delivered new in Germany, the car was registered in the Netherlands on 20 August 2004 and has had only two owners there. Owners who used this beautiful cabriolet exclusively as a second car — which explains the remarkably low mileage of just 102,699 km. A wonderfully well-maintained example that will offer years of enjoyment.
You must, of course, appreciate the beautiful appearance, highlighted by the jet-black, completely unmarked paintwork, complemented by the equally stunning 18-inch GT3 wheels fitted with premium Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. And we shouldn’t forget the immaculate black leather interior, which lacks nothing to please the sporty driver. Admittedly, interior storage space is nearly nonexistent, but that is simply part of the mid-engine layout. In return, you get two very spacious luggage compartments at the front and rear, perfectly suitable for weekend trips with a few bags.
The technology must appeal to you as well: the centrally mounted 3.2-litre six-cylinder boxer engine produces an impressive 252 hp, delivered through a very smooth-shifting 6-speed manual gearbox. We could write pages about how incredibly well the Boxster handles and how easy it is to operate — but that’s something you really need to experience for yourself.
So, if you’re ready for a “start-up” Porsche that has been maintained exceptionally well, holds its value, and brings plenty of driving pleasure, you know where to find us.
