Both optically, historically, and technically, this Porsche is in excellent condition: in December 2023 (at 199,443 km) the engine was fully rebuilt by Auto Resto, including replacement of the well-known IMS bearing, AOS, water pump, crankshaft bearings, connecting rods, pistons, timing chains, multi-V belt, spark plugs, and all gaskets.
The same attention to detail was applied to the interior. Originally fitted with a sea-blue leather interior, this Boxster now stands out with a Metropol Blue convertible top featuring a glass rear window, aluminum door sills, and luxurious stitching on the dashboard, door panels, and seats. The seats provide excellent support, with the driver’s seat offering the extra thrill of a sport steering wheel view. The aluminum interior package adds contrast to the refined design. In mid-2024, a PCCM Plus infotainment system (worth over €2,000) was installed in Heteren. Perfectly integrated into the interior, it features a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB radio, real-time navigation, Bluetooth, USB, and an integrated microphone – all in Dutch.
While not overloaded with options, this car includes all the relevant features for maximum driving pleasure: PSM (Porsche Stability Management), PCM (Porsche Communication Management), a differential, and the Sound Package Plus (HiFi). Other notable equipment includes climate control with air conditioning, on-board computer, wind deflector with integrated storage, black seat belts, heat-insulating windscreen, and a Class 3-certified alarm system (SCM), important for insurance. The original list price was €82,809. Everything functions properly.
After production in Stuttgart, the car spent its first 10 years in Luxembourg, averaging 16,000 km per year with full dealer maintenance. In July 2015, it was imported by a Porsche specialist in Tilburg, who sold it in October 2015 (at 161,654 km) to the second owner. In August 2021 (190,184 km), we sold the Boxster to its third owner, who used it mainly for annual European road trips. The car was always garage kept, run on Euro 98, hand-washed, and driven only in good weather.
Service history: 31,942 km (15-9-2006), 60,034 km (10-12-2007), 92,126 km (27-5-2009), 120,055 km (21-9-2010), 150,142 km (20-7-2012), 178,353 km (13-7-2017), 184,167 km (8-10-2018), 194,893 km (30-11-2021), 199,443 km (18-12-2023), and 201,087 km (1-3-2024). Recent work includes replacement of both condensers, climate control switches, several coolant hoses, rear brake pads, and air conditioning recharge. MOT is valid until August 29, 2026. The cause of the engine rebuild was defective connecting rod bearings. Over the past four years, more than €15,000 has been invested in this Boxster — which justifies its higher price compared to similar 987s. Paintwork, underbody, engine bay, convertible top, and wheels are all in excellent condition. Accident-free history. Both keys present.
