In 2009, the second-generation Porsche Boxster (987) underwent a further update, not so much in terms of its appearance as in terms of its technology. The engine was significantly improved, modified and equipped with the latest Porsche technologies.
The chassis and infotainment system were also updated.
The concept of a Porsche with the engine in the right place – that is, a mid-engine layout – has been further refined. Gone are the reliability issues that could sometimes lead to high repair costs in previous models.
Add to that the impressive sound of the engine coming from the (tuned) central exhaust, and you’ll conclude that the Boxster S offers one of the best driving experiences in the automotive world.
