History: The Porsche Cayman S (type 987.1) was born in 2005 out of Porsche’s desire to fill the gap between the Boxster roadster and the iconic 911. Presented as a two-seater coupe with a mid-engine, it immediately stood out for its increased torsional rigidity and dynamic balance, often considered superior to that of its big sisters.
Under the rear hood is a 3.4-liter flat-6 engine developing 295 hp, a noble powerplant that allows it to reach 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds. Although it shares many components with the Boxster, its fastback design and wide hips give it its own visual identity. Today, this first generation is particularly prized by purists for its responsive hydraulic steering and its now rare analog driving experience.
This example was delivered new to the Porsche Center in Stuttgart, Germany, on January 31, 2007.
The car arrived in France in 2009. The current owner purchased it in February 2023.
