2026 Porsche 992.2 GT3 Touring
The 992.2 GT3 is still naturally aspirated, still rear-wheel drive, still without hybrid technology, 25 years after the first GT3. Porsche could have used emissions regulations as a reason to electrify the engine. They didn’t. The 4.0 litre flat-six produces 510 ps at 9,000 rpm and now has a shorter final drive ratio, making the car feel more immediate than its predecessor. The double wishbone front suspension, taken directly from the 911 RSR race car, is complemented by aerodynamic front axle bars that generate additional downforce. On the 992.1 those were exclusive to the GT3 RS. This is also the first GT3 model year where the Weissach Package is available on the standard GT3.
Fun fact: Porsche had to fit two particulate filters and four catalytic converters in the 992.2 GT3 to meet stricter emissions standards. Power remained unchanged at 510 ps.
