PORSCHE 911 993 CARRERA 2 272 hp 1994 – The 993 version is the 4th generation of the 911 model and was presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1993, exactly 30 years after the first 911 was unveiled. This generation marked Porsche’s history due to its exterior design compared to its predecessor: the lines became more refined, the body was widened, and the car gained a more modern and dynamic appearance without losing the identity of the original model.
It received a new set of elliptical front headlights with ellipsoidal lenses, a redesigned rear lid with a new integrated and automatically extending spoiler. The interior was also redesigned, featuring new door panels, a new dashboard and new seats. A new exhaust system with dual rear outlets was introduced.
A new boxer engine was developed, the “flat-six” M64, producing 272 hp, along with a newly developed manual gearbox, the G50/21 6-speed transmission. Porsche significantly improved driving dynamics and comfort. Above all, this generation marked an entire chapter in Porsche history, as the 993 was the last air-cooled 911. Production ran from 1993 to 1998, and many steps on the 993 assembly line were still carried out by hand.
It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h.
This beautiful example is a European version and is presented in an elegant colour combination, with a dark blue “Night Blue Metallic” exterior and a bi-colour interior in dark and light blue “Midnight/Grey”.
