Porsche 993 Carrera 4S – The One-Off That Captures the Final Breath of the Air-Cooled Era
There are moments in Porsche’s long and consistent history when engineering, aesthetics and circumstance meet with almost improbable precision. The 993 generation represents exactly that: the final and most refined chapter of the air-cooled era and, in many ways, the most mature expression of the concept introduced in 1964.
By the mid-1990s, decades of continuous evolution had culminated in a car that remained unmistakably mechanical and analogue, yet displayed a composure and level of sophistication never before seen in a 911. The introduction of the multi-link rear suspension brought a new dynamic grace, stability, precision and comfort woven harmoniously into the classic 911 character.
Within this family, few models possess the presence of the Carrera 4S. With its wider track, muscular proportions and beautifully balanced silhouette, the C4S combined the Turbo Look bodywork, Turbo brakes and Turbo suspension with the purity of a naturally aspirated flat-six. The result was a car that was assertive without excess, elegant without fragility. And thanks to all-wheel drive, it was also a 911 that welcomed the driver, confidence, predictability and genuine usability wrapped in one of the most charismatic shapes Porsche ever produced.
A One-of-One Example. A Pure Expression of Porsche Individuality
Every so often a specification appears that can halt even the most seasoned enthusiast. This 993 Carrera 4S is one such car, the only example ever built in Petrol Blue Metallic (376), a Paint-to-Sample colour taken from Porsche’s late-1970s palette.
It is a choice that could only have been made by someone with refined aesthetic sensitivity and a deep understanding of the marque — the combination of a classic Porsche colour with the final air-cooled generation resulted in something truly magnificent. In person, the colour transforms the C4S: it plays with light and shadow, emphasises the width of the bodywork, and gives the car a balanced, exuberant and unforgettable presence.
Delivered new in early November 1995 in Germany, it stands among the earliest Carrera 4S models produced, adding historical importance and an additional degree of exclusivity.

Condition, Provenance and Authenticity
With 85,500 km and a documented Porsche service history, this C4S has never been restored. It has simply been driven with care and consistently maintained.
Over nearly three decades, only a few exterior panels have been repainted, exclusively for cosmetic reasons, and the paint readings remain fully consistent with a Paint-to-Sample example.
Crucially, structural integrity is exceptional: the body is perfectly aligned, free from any damage or corrosion, and all inner surfaces retain their original factory paint, a detail that says everything about how this car has lived.
The car has recently undergone the Porsche 111-point check, which identified only minor items, and it will be delivered with a full service.
Presented Exactly As It Is
The photographs were taken without any cosmetic preparation or digital retouching, something increasingly rare today. They show the car exactly as it is: well preserved, mechanically honest and showing a light, natural patina, evidence of genuine use and careful ownership over the years.
The engine bay, in particular, tells the story many enthusiasts seek: authenticity rather than embellishment. This is not a museum-polished 911, but a 993 that has aged with dignity, often the highest compliment that can be paid to an air-cooled Porsche.
A Singular 911 in the Air-Cooled Universe
It is difficult to convey the presence of this 993: Petrol Blue Metallic over the muscular architecture of the Carrera 4S creates something truly memorable, a 911 that is subtle, rare and deeply desirable. For those seeking a unique example with clear potential for appreciation, it is worth remembering that history cannot be recreated: rare or one-off cars always sit at the top of the value hierarchy for any model.
Quite possibly one of the most visually captivating 911s of its era and, without any doubt, one of the most exclusive 993 Carrera 4S examples in existence, this one-of-one early-production car represents a rare opportunity: the perfect convergence of history, authenticity, individuality and beauty.
