What's more, the paintwork values we measured on the body are still completely on a par with the original paintwork. We assume that the car has not been repainted in any way and therefore, in our opinion, it can be assumed that the paintwork is original all round.
There are no signs of damage or the effects of rain or even snow and salt. The underbody still has the original underbody protection. In addition to the bodywork, the add-on parts such as headlight lenses, rubbers and window frames are also in mint condition. It is hard to believe that this is a 27-year-old vehicle, as the feel and texture of the surfaces give the impression of a new car from 1997. Our test drive was inspiring, as it allowed us to take a rare leap back in time and experience a vehicle that drives like a new car. And even smells like one.
All the factory stickers are still present on the entire vehicle without any signs of wear. The equipment list of selected extras is long and also includes special requests - which are marked with the so-called X-options.

The Porsche 993 Carrera 4S was the top model of the series at the time and was already equipped with extensive standard features, including air conditioning, an on-board computer and fully electric seat adjustment. In addition, a further list of optional extras and X-options upgraded this model: the newly developed Litronic headlights significantly increased visibility in the dark and the third brake light was not only relevant to safety, but also emphasized the silhouette. The electric sunroof lets the sun into the interior and light is known to increase the production of happiness hormones. The latter is already sufficiently taken care of by the acceleration values and probably the best road holding of an air-cooled Porsche 911.
The original vehicle registration document with the documents since delivery is part of this comprehensive "full set", as is the entire on-board folder including operating instructions, maintenance booklet, touring pass, radio instructions, as well as the complete key set and the partially unopened and still originally welded tool set.
Conclusion: This 993 Carrera 4S is probably the best remaining vehicle currently on the market. Bodywork
The body is in the condition of a year-old car. The closing behavior and the fitting accuracy of the doors and hoods are impeccable. All gap dimensions of doors, hoods and all add-on parts such as sill trims, bumper trims and decorative grilles correspond to the delivery condition. The body is absolutely free of damage and corrosion.
Exterior paintwork
On the basis of the paint layer thickness measurement carried out and the resulting values, which are consistently at factory level, it can be concluded that this is still the original paintwork.
The condition of the paintwork is similar to that of a year-old car.
There are no signs of stone chipping.
The measured paint layers are between 97.7 μm and 169 μm.
Add-on parts
All add-on parts of the vehicle are complete. They are in immaculate condition all round.
Glazing
The vehicle's glazing is virtually free of stone chips and scratches. All seals on the vehicle are original, as good as new and fit perfectly.
Interior
Seats and trim
The entire seating system, the side panels and the center console are in mint condition. There is no damage.
instruments
The vehicle has the standard instruments, which are all in technically and visually perfect condition. All instruments are currently working properly. There is no damage to the entire interior of the vehicle.
Engine units
Due to the fully traceable history, we assume that the engine and transmission are the original units of the vehicle. No revisions have been necessary to date, but regular maintenance work has been carried out so that the engine functions perfectly in all temperature, speed and load ranges. There are no suspicious noises or smoke development. The entire engine compartment, including the engine and its attachments, is in very good condition. The cold start behavior and engine running over the entire temperature range up to the constant operating temperature are impeccable.
Additional units
All auxiliary units such as the ignition system, starter, alternator, etc. are currently in perfect technical condition.
Drive
The transmission of the vehicle can be shifted perfectly in all load conditions, there are no suspicious noises. The transmission works perfectly.
Steering
The function and precision of the steering are the same as on delivery.
Chassis and brake system
The brake discs and brake pads are in very good condition. All prescribed maintenance work was carried out regularly on the brake system and chassis.
Wheels and tires
The rims are in very good condition and show no signs of damage.
Electrics and lighting
The entire electrical system is almost in the condition in which it was delivered. No changes have been made here, but all care and maintenance measures have been carried out so that the entire electrical system is currently working properly in all areas.
