The 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (993) is one of the most admired air-cooled 911s. It shares its wide body and chassis with the Turbo but uses the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six producing 286 hp. The all-wheel drive gives it a solid, predictable feel on the road, while the steering retains that analogue character enthusiasts love. The finish is simple yet solid, exactly as a 911 should be.
