Launched at the very end of the 996 generation in 2005, the Turbo S represents the ultimate evolution of this model before the transition to the 997. It stands out thanks to the standard inclusion of the X50 package, which boosts the power of the famous “Mezger” engine to 450 hp thanks to larger turbos and optimized intercoolers.
It is particularly rare in the Cabriolet version, especially when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission, a configuration highly prized by purists for its driving engagement. This high-end model also came standard with ceramic brakes (PCCB), recognizable by their yellow calipers, offering exceptional braking for the time. Today, this version is considered one of the most exclusive and sought-after 996s by collectors due to its supercar performance and limited production. It is estimated that around 300 examples of the 996 Turbo S Cabriolet with manual transmission were produced.
This model was delivered new on October 6, 2005, to the Porsche dealership in Monaco.
This 996 was imported to France in 2009. The current owner purchased it in April 2025.
This 996 is in excellent overall condition.
The bodywork is in very good condition. The “Silver GT” gray paintwork is smooth and has a beautiful shine. This color is very exclusive as it comes from the Carrera GT and was applied to this car thanks to the PTS “Paint To Sample” color option. The Turbo wheels look good. The headlights and mirrors are in excellent condition. The black soft top and spoiler work perfectly. This car is sold with its hardtop.
The interior is in excellent condition. The leather is almost new. The dashboard is flawless, with extended leather trim. The steering wheel and door panels are also covered in leather. This model is equipped with PCCM Plus and has an updated infotainment system. This model has a wind deflector. All on-board equipment is functional.
The Flat-6 came out of Porsche service a few months ago, starts well, and delivers full power. The manual transmission allows for precise and efficient gear changes. The road handling is perfect.
