The Porsche 997.2 was introduced in 2008 and featured significant improvements over the 997.1. It adopted direct fuel injection (DFI) engines, and the IMS issues present in previous generations were resolved.
The 4S stands out for its all-wheel drive and the introduction of the PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) dual-clutch transmission, replacing the old Tiptronic S automatic transmission. This new transmission offers extremely fast and smooth gear changes.
Visually, the 997.2 Carrera 4S features wide bodywork and a rear light strip connecting the taillights.
This model was delivered new in Italy to the Florence dealership on January 17, 2009.
