The second phase of the Porsche 911 GT3 of the 997 generation represents the quintessence of the naturally aspirated sports car. Compared to the first phase, it received significant upgrades, most notably the 3.8-liter flat-six engine developing 435 hp and revving up to 8,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox offering precise and engaging shifts at a time when automated transmissions were already becoming dominant.
