The Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS, introduced in 2009, is one of the most beloved and pure drivers’ cars Porsche has ever built. This is the last version with the more raw experience, a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter traditional “Mezger” flat-6 engine, with a 6-speed manual, and hydraulic steering before the introduction of the 991 series, that introduced a more modern GTS feel to this car. The 997.2 series brought improvements in performance, aerodynamics, and driving experience compared to the previous 997.1. The engine produces 450 hp at 7,900 rpm and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. The engine is derived directly from motorsport and is known for its impressive rev range and addictive sound. The 997.2 GT3 RS sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 310 km/h (190 mph). This 997.2 is a clear favorite to drive for car lovers but also for track drivers.
