The X51 package for the 997.1 is an official Porsche power option that makes the Carrera S/4S more powerful as standard through mechanical and electronic modifications to the 3.8-liter engine, resulting in noticeably more power and better pulling power. Developed to noticeably enhance the driving experience without compromising reliability or everyday usability. Engine power increases from 355 hp to 381 hp, with full OEM standard specifications. The X51 has been available exclusively for the Carrera S or 4S.

The conversion includes:

• Revised intake system with dual air filters
• High-performance cylinder heads with modified camshafts
• Optimized engine control (ECU tuning)
• Reinforced crankshaft for increased stability
• Revised exhaust manifolds with improved gas flow
• Exclusive carbon engine cover with X51 badge
• Increased rev limit and significantly higher torque in the mid-range
