This Porsche 911 997 Cabriolet is an exceptional and very high-quality built example, developed with a clear focus on performance, technology and driving experience. The car has been in the possession of one Dutch owner for more than ten years, who has consistently had the 997 further developed and technically optimized. The heart of the car is the completely overhauled engine, which has been bored out to a 4.0 liter configuration. The engine is equipped with a closed-deck engine construction and fitted with GT3 (996) pistons. In addition, the engine is built with K1 connecting rods with Carrillo 3/8 bolts and the IMS bearing has been replaced. This combination results in a powerful and reliable naturally aspirated engine with an output of approximately 400 hp. The engine runs strongly, picks up immediately and combines flexibility with impressive performance. A turbo installation is available for an additional charge, which can increase the power to approximately 500 hp.

The vehicle in detail

The drivetrain consists of a 6-speed manual transmission, combined with a GT3 short shifter for a crisp, mechanical shift feel. The car has been converted to a Carrera 2 configuration (rear-wheel drive) and is equipped with a Carrera 2S differential, which provides sportier and more direct handling. The original differential is still present and is included with the car.

The chassis and brakes have been tuned for this high performance level. The car is equipped with ceramic brake discs, which ensure powerful and consistent braking performance. A sports exhaust gives the car a deep, characterful sound that matches the sporty character of this 997.

The interior is fully upholstered in blue leather, including sports seats and leather-upholstered door panels. The finish is high-quality and is in very good condition. Combined with the convertible concept, this gives the car an exclusive and distinctive look.

On the outside, the car runs on 997.2 Turbo-style wheels, which beautifully complement the car’s appearance. The original wheels are also present. A new front splitter is still being installed; Photos of this will follow soon.

This Porsche 997 Cabriolet is not a standard 911, but a carefully built driver’s car with serious technology, high-quality modifications and retention of original parts. The car was originally delivered in the USA and has since been fully converted to EU specifications.
