This 997 GT3 RSR was used by the French team "IMSA Performance" in the 2007 season.
2007 was probably the most successful year for this team.
Although Raymond Narac drove for Oreca in the GT1 class in the FFSA GT, the team dominated the GT2 class thanks to the duo Michel Lecourt and Richard Balandras in the new 997 GT3 RSR.
IMSA Performance fielded two 997 RSRs in 2007. One, driven by Raymond Narac and Richard Lietz, competed with the team in the Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The other car, which is this RSR, was driven by Michel Lecourt alongside Richard Balandrais, mainly in the FFSA GT.
The RSR was also used in the FIA GT at Nogaro in March 2007.
Despite its successful racing history, the car is still equipped with its original engine, which is extremely rare for racing cars of this type.
The scope of delivery includes three new sets of original BBS rims and several other spare parts.
The vehicle was completely overhauled in the recent past (2019/2020), with a total investment of approximately €180,000.
All expenses are documented by invoices. After completion of the work, the RSR was only subjected to a "shake down."
Both the engine and the transmission have approximately one hour of operating time.
Furthermore, a racing ABS system, which is not standard equipment, was retrofitted to the RSR at a cost of approximately €15,000.
