This example was acquired in Monaco in 2011 by its first owner and delivered to a Porsche Centre for a complete conversion by MCG Propulsion under the direction of Clément Ghielmini. The build was supervised by renowned Porsche racing driver Christophe Lapierre, ensuring this car became a highly exclusive, bona fide super sports car. Over eight months, all bodywork and aerodynamic components were supplied directly by Porsche Motorsport, making this project genuinely authentic.
This 997 RSR made its public debut at Paradis Porsche 2012 in Saint-Tropez, where it was celebrated as one of the event’s highlights. Its significance within the Porsche community was further reinforced by a feature in the January 2015 issue of Flat six magazine.
Mechanically, this car retains its original 450 hp factory engine, but thanks to the new Kevlar-carbon bodywork and a simplified exhaust system, it is approximately 100 kg lighter than the original. The body consists of a complete RSR Kevlar-carbon kit, including widened arches, redesigned rear wheel housings, modified fuel system components and the integration of a competition exhaust. The suspension has been upgraded with specific dampers while retaining PASM functionality. Inside, the car preserves the comfort of the RS, with Alcantara trim, a factory front-axle lift system and all original options, making it both authentic and surprisingly usable on the road.
Christophe Lapierre, through his Porsche Centre in France and in collaboration with Porsche Motorsport, produced only two examples, making this an exceptionally exclusive model of significant interest to collectors and brand enthusiasts.
Factory-spec GT3 RSR conversion: Originally delivered as a GT3 RS 3.8 and converted using exclusively genuine Porsche Motorsport components, faithfully replicating factory GT3 RSR specifications in a rare road-legal configuration.
Ultra-low production & motorsport provenance: One of only two examples built under the supervision of Porsche racing driver Christophe Lapierre, in collaboration with Porsche Motorsport—offering exceptional rarity and unquestionable authenticity.
Lightweight performance with road usability: Approximately 100 kg lighter than standard thanks to Kevlar-carbon RSR bodywork and a simplified exhaust, while retaining PASM, factory front-axle lift and RS interior comfort, making it both thrilling on track and genuinely usable on the road.
