The 997.1 Turbo manual is where collectors are looking now. Values are rising sharply as the market recognizes what matters: the bulletproof Mezger engine, the six-speed manual gearbox, and the last analog turbo experience in a relatively small body.
This is the Turbo before PDK, before electric steering, before active everything became standard. It’s analog where it counts.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre flat-six produces 480 hp and 620 Nm with variable turbine geometry (VTG) that made the 997 Turbo remarkably responsive. 0 to 100 km/h arrives in 3.7 seconds, and top speed exceeds 310 km/h. The Mezger unit uses forged internals and dry-sump lubrication – the same architecture that powered Cup cars and GT3s.
This particular Turbo has lived a quiet life. It was delivered new in Italy in 2008 and serviced exclusively at the official Porsche center in Firenze. At 37,000 km in 2019, it was imported to Belgium where it has remained with the same owner ever since. Total mileage stands at just 49,990 km, with comprehensive service history that documents every intervention.
Major service has just been completed ahead of sale: all belts have been replaced, new spark plugs fitted, complete fluid service performed, fresh tires mounted, and new brakes installed. The next owner receives a fully sorted Turbo that’s ready to use immediately.
The Basalt Black Metallic (LC9Z) paint remains 90% original – a must for a 997.1 Turbo. This particular shade of black has subtle metallic flake that shifts in sunlight. The black-over-black combination is understated, but the Porsche Exclusive specification adds distinction with painted spoilers and aluminum/leather interior details including the gear lever, handbrake, and various trim pieces.
Sport Chrono package was specified from new, which adds the dashboard-mounted stopwatch and optimized throttle mapping. Combined with sport seats and the short-throw shifter, this Turbo was configured for serious driving from day one.
