Porsche RUF Turbo R
Highlights
- Turbo R
- Manual Transmission
- All Wheel Drive
At its core is a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six, delivering performance well beyond factory 993 Turbo output. RUF’s enhancements—centered around upgraded turbocharging, fueling, and engine calibration—result in exceptionally strong acceleration and high-speed capability, with period performance rivaling contemporary supercars. Power is sent through a 6-speed manual transmission to an all-wheel-drive system, offering both traction and driver engagement. Supporting upgrades include RUF-tuned suspension, engineered to improve stability, handling precision, and high-speed composure in line with RUF’s autobahn-focused development philosophy.
The exterior is defined by its RUF widebody conversion, designed to enhance both aerodynamics and cooling. Completely refinished in White, the car features a RUF-designed front bumper, fixed “whale tail” rear spoiler, and black Turbo R badging. It rides on 19-inch RUF 5-spoke wheels with blue painted brake calipers, while dual RUF-engraved chrome exhaust tips provide a subtle but distinctive signature. The overall presentation remains true to period Turbo R styling, emphasizing both function and presence.
