Founded in 1959
Albers Sportscars & Classics is a family company which was founded in 1959 by JB Albers (Jo), started as a DKW Dealer at the Zuiderdiep 105 Valthermond, under the importership of Hart Nibbrig & Greeve. After the transition from DKW Auto Union to Audi in 1969, we were an Audi dealer until the end of 1974 until Volkswagen AG decided in 1975 to sell its Audis through their own distribution channels (Pon).
Moves to Musselkanaal
In 1970 the entire company moved to its current location at Kruisstraat 3 in Musselkanaal. Here we were an Audi dealer until the end of 1974 until the importer Hart Nibbrig & Greeve lost the importership to Pon, after which it passed to Mitsubishi Motors, after which we have been a Mitsubishi Dealer until 2015. JK Albers (Johan) started in 1977 within the company and took over from his father Jo in 1992, in 1994 Johan started with some special cars, including Donkervoort.
Nowadays
Nowadays we are specialized in Oldtimers and sports cars, especially Donkervoort automobiles, since 2006 we regularly go to America to look for the most beautiful oldtimers and bring them to Europe. The eldest son Patrick Albers started working for the company in 2013, after completing his education at IVA Driebergen Business School. Since 2017, the youngest son Tim Albers has also started working within the company after completing his Sales Manager training in Groningen.
