Our Story
My name is Dirk Dieben. Behind Dieben Collectables is not a large company or a chain of showrooms, but above all a personal fascination with cars that have character.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by machines that exude a certain aura. Not just because of their performance, but because of their design, their engineering, and the story they carry with them. Some cars simply have more personality than others.
That interest grew into a passion for cars that hold a special place among enthusiasts. Think of an air-cooled Porsche, a Saab 900 Turbo, a Volvo 850R, or a characterful Maserati. Cars that aren’t just driven, but also collected, cherished, and remembered.
In addition to cars, I’ve always had a fondness for technology and design. Drawing on my background and work experience in the audio industry, I developed a keen eye for detail, materials, and quality. You can see that reflected in the way I look at cars.
Dieben Collectables is not a traditional car dealership. It is more of a collection of cars and objects that I find interesting and that I believe deserve to be preserved and passed on.
Sometimes it’s a car from my own collection; sometimes I help someone find or sell a special car through brokerage or consignment. And sometimes it’s simply a project where I think: this object deserves to be restored.
What all these things have in common is that they resonate with enthusiasts.
Not for everyone.
But for the true enthusiast.
