Spa 12h 2025 – Michelin 992 Endurance Cup by Creventic

Spa 12h 2025 – Michelin 992 Endurance Cup by Creventic

The world’s largest organizer of endurance races, Creventic, launched the first edition of the 12 Hours of Spa in 2024. Only Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars were eligible to compete in the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup. Following the great success of the 12-hour race organized jointly with Porsche Motorsport, the second edition of the endurance cup race will follow in 2025. On September 5 and 6, more than 30 teams are once again expected to compete for victory at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium with the same equipment.

An endurance Porsche Cup event seemed logical

More than 40 teams in the GT3, GT4, GTX, TCE and 992 classes take part in Creventic’s world-famous 24H SERIES. Most teams – up to 20 in some cases – compete in the 992 class. In 2023, Creventic therefore launched a survey among the endurance racing teams asking whether they would participate in an endurance race exclusively with Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars. After the overwhelmingly positive response, the Dutch race organizers teamed up with Michelin and Porsche Motorsport to organize the first endurance race exclusively for Porsches in 2024 – the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup.

Numerous well-known teams signed up for the very first edition. Black Falcon, Max Kruse Racing, KKrämer and GP-Elite are part of the establishment in endurance and cup racing and battled for the title in the first Michelin 992 Endurance Cup. Victory went to the Black Falcon squad after 12 hours of thrilling racing action in the Ardennes. Loek Hartog, Christopher Mies, Tobias Müller and Noah Nagelsdiek drove a perfect race. They secured the top spot on the podium ahead of Max Kruse Racing and Red Camel Jordans.

The 992 Endurance Cup worked mega, everyone has the same cars, same tyres etc. and that works very well. I’m sure, next year there will be 50 cars on the grid.

Although a total of 29 teams were already registered for the first edition last year, the organizers are expecting an even bigger turnout for 2025. No wonder, as the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup is by far the best-selling racing car in the world. The unique endurance race is also officially supported by Porsche Motorsport and Michelin, so top-level support is guaranteed.

Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport – The Program

Racing on the Ardennes rollercoaster begins on Friday, September 5. Free practice sessions and several qualifying sessions will then be held. There will also be an additional night practice session in the evening to prepare the drivers for the visibility conditions on race day. Because the race on Saturday will not end until darkness falls.

On Saturday, September 6, the time has come. Admission to the second edition of the world’s only one-make endurance cup starts at 9 am. All ticket holders can then go straight to the starting grid. There you can immerse yourself in the excitement immediately before the start of the race. And who knows, maybe you’ll even meet some of your racing idols? After all, Creventic is known for attracting plenty of top-class drivers – including from the international Carrera Cups.

The Michelin 992 Endurance Cup offers a unique, unusually action-packed endurance race

The second all-Porsche endurance race starts at 9:45 am. You can follow the race action up close from any seat around the track. With your ticket, you have free choice of seats in all the grandstands and can walk around the track as you please during the race. This allows you to watch the cars race around the Ardennes rollercoaster from different angles and in different lighting conditions.

Just like last year, we are expecting an extremely close race with tough wheel-to-wheel battles. With 35 or more identical cars battling it out over 12 hours, there will be duels and overtaking maneuvers on almost every lap. Of course, this also means potentially a lot of paint swapping between the cars and numerous yellow phases. Then the safety car brings the field back together and a flying restart follows. And there is the tactical element of the pit stops and the unpredictable Ardennes weather as well. So everything is set for unforgettable racing action at the Circuit Spa-Francorchamps.

There is also plenty for Porsche fans to see off the track and in the paddock!

The town of Spa is already worth a visit in itself. You are reminded of the region’s motorsport ties at every turn. Restaurants with framed racing overalls are just as common as Forumula Renault cars hanging from the walls. Numerous other activities await visitors in the paddock at the circuit itself.

Here you can not only do virtual laps on the Ardennes rollercoaster in the simulator, but also enjoy a view of probably more than 500 Porsche sports cars! Together with the Porsche Club Francorchamps, Creventicorganize a Cars & Coffee and also an exhibition. Exclusively for Porsche cars, of course… Naturally, a number of different caterers will also be waiting for you in the paddock. In the Grand Marquee you can also purchase plenty of memorabilia, model cars and merch.

There are still cockpits available to take part in the Spa 12h race yourself!

In GT racing, there are not only different car categories. There is also a distinction between the drivers. Depending on their personal successes and experience, they are classified in a certain category. This ranges from bronze for amateurs to silver, gold and platinum. In the top platinum category, for example, there are drivers with a super license who are even allowed to compete in Formula 1. In the 992 Endurance Cup, ambitious amateurs could therefore – in theory – compete against Formula 1 drivers.

If you have the necessary budget and a national racing license, you can still secure a starting place! Some teams are still looking for drivers and will soon be placing their advertisements in the 992 Endurance Cup Driver Market. To take part in the world’s only Porsche 911 GT3 Cup endurance race, you can expect to pay around 25,000 euros to get yourself a seat.
