My First 911
36 owners, 18 cities, 4 continents – photographer Kai Hartmann asked people all over the world about their first Porsche 911. The result is a bilingual illustrated book (DE/EN) with 338 photographs and just as many personal stories. Hardcover with cloth spine, 320 pages, coffee-table format.
My First 911 – From dream to reality.
What was your first 911? Photographer Kai Hartmann asked 36 people on four continents this question – and captured their answers in 320 pages and 338 photographs.
The result is not a classic model book or a technical reference work, but a collection of personal stories: from a family heirloom to a hard-earned dream, from a rare collector’s item to a daily companion. Each story stands on its own – and yet always tells of what has made the 911 so special for decades.
Hartmann’s photographs capture far more than just sheet metal and paintwork. They are portraits of people and their cars, taken in 18 cities between Tokyo, Los Angeles and Europe. The whole thing is presented as a high-quality coffee-table format book with a linen spine – bilingual in German and English.
A book for everyone who knows that the first 911 was never just a car.
