The Renndienst T-shirt – A tribute to the legends of the race track
Our 100% organic cotton T-shirt combines comfort and style with a dose of racing history. The word “Renndienst” is printed on the front – a tribute to the dark red VW Renndienst buses.
From the 1950s to the 1970s, these sports cars were accompanied by the iconic Renndienst transporters. The dark red VW “Billi” which were considered the technical backbone of the racing team back then, have themselves become true cult objects today. With this hoodie, you can bring a piece of this legend into your everyday life. Perfect for anyone who wants to live and celebrate the Porsche legend and the history of the racing service Bullis.
A must-have for every motorsport fan – casual, sustainable and steeped in history.
The legendary red Renndienst VW Bulli
As early as 1954, the Porsche works team used the first racing service van at the legendary Mille Miglia. The need arose because Porsche did not have a suitable vehicle for transporting tools and spare parts. So the idea was born to convert a VW Bus for this purpose. The first model was based on the VW T1, and in the following decades – from the 1950s to the 1970s – numerous other racing service buses based on the VW Transporter followed, both T1 and T2.
The transporters, equipped with their robust, air-cooled engines, were much more than just mobile workshops. They served the team as flexible service stations and often also as improvised accommodation for engineers and other team members at races around the globe.
However, the racing service buses were not only practical, but also a real eye-catcher. With their characteristic dark red paintwork, they became an integral part of the Porsche works team, although attention was mostly focused on racing legends such as the Porsche 904, 908, 910 and 917. Today, some of these iconic racing service transporters can be admired in museums or adorn the garages of passionate Porsche collectors.
+ Machine wash at 30°C, not only protects the environment but also your garment.
+ You should wash your clothes inside out. With every wash cycle, garments rub against each other and always give off some color and material – you can see this especially at the seams and edges.
+ Save the dryer and give your clothes fresh air on the clothesline – wind is known to be the best fabric softener substitute. But be careful that you do not let your products hang directly or too long in the sun so that they do not fade.
