Porsche 356 Pre A convertible from 1953.

Only 370 Pre A were built in 1953, so a very rare car.
The current color scheme of the car is Slate Gray with a red interior and a beige convertible top.
Original sun visors are present.
The 356 was delivered directly to Reutter by Porsche and spent a long time at Reutter as a test car to investigate a new color. This 356 was intended to test out the Signalrot color on it.
Ultimately, it is not known in which color the car was originally delivered.
Because the car was at Reutter for so long, little is known about it and no Kardex is available. The chassis number and engine number correspond to a Pre A. The engine number corresponds to a 528 engine (1500S) that corresponds to the period of the chassis number (1953).
We suspect that the original engine is still in it, as there are papers from 1961 and 1964 showing the engine number that is now in the car.
Porsche eventually gave the car to a Mexican ambassador, who was reportedly a racer.
The current condition of the car is very good. The paint is still neat with minimal signs of wear. All fits are tight and there is no rust or damage to the bodywork and paintwork. The Slate Gray paint still has a nice shine and looks very good on this Pre-A in combination with the red upholstery and black wheels.
The interior is still in neat condition with minimal signs of wear. Technically the 356 is in good condition and it drives as it should. The bottom is in good condition.
