217039’s engine number 811695 and transmission 77116 both correspond to the original delivery details transcribed on the 356’s Porsche Kardex – which is also included with the documentation. In 1987, the car would receive a repaint to its current “candy apple red” lacquer – over a silver basecoat. The finish remains usable as a “driver”, paired to its largely original undercarriage/chassis.
