Few cars can boast a history like that of the Porsche 911. This was the sports car that simply blew everything away in 1964. Since then, the 911 has evolved over the years into one of the world’s true legends. Part of the appeal of this iconic model is no doubt that its soul has always remained true to its original design. Porsche began producing the ‘Targa’ 911 in the mid-1960s and kept it in production in various forms until the current Porsche 992 Targa.
During the production era of the 911 Carrera 3.2, all non-Turbo variants – Coupé, Targa and Cabriolet – were referred to as ‘911 Carrera’. The cars of this era are powered by the familiar air (and oil) cooled, 6-cylinder 3,164cc engine with an output of 231 hp and 284 Nm of torque, fitted with a 5-speed manual transmission. Ignition and injection are controlled by the Bosch Motronic system that delivers efficient and economical performance.
