1988 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabrio – G50

The Porsche is technically in absolute top condition. In addition to the condition of the 911, every “enthusiast” option is ticked, including the G50 gearbox. The G50 gearbox was a technical masterpiece of Porsche which made shifting a lot easier and faster. In addition to the highly desirable G50 manual transmission, this 3.2 Carrera also received the Porsche 930 Turbo seats from the factory. The improved seating makes this 911 also suitable for longer trips. New Michelin Sport Cup tires (worth €600 each) complete the picture and make it in combination with the G50 gearbox and Turbo seats a real driver’s car!

The 3.2 engine is completely overhauled and after revision it drove about 21,000 kilometers. The full maintenance history, including overhaul, is available. Neither trouble nor expense was spared to keep this “Neunelfer” in new condition!

For the first time since 1977, in 1983, the name Carrera was revived as a successor to the successful SC series. In the last “911” (after this it became 964) the entire electronics, brakes and chassis were adjusted. Apart from this improvement, the engine block was enlarged to a 3.2 liter with 219 HP. The 3.2 Carrera model of the 911 series was produced from 1983 to 1989. Our example is one of the last before the 964 made its appearance.
