When the first Porsche production models rolled off the line at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, quality took precedence over quantity. Quality of design and quality of manufacture were of equal importance. Every eighth position in the production line was given over to quality inspection.

The 911 3.2 had a redesigned engine inlet and exhaust system, along with the fitment of a service-free Digital Engine Management ignition system (DME), in conjunction with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel metering. This resulted in a significant increase in engine performance but a significant reduction in fuel consumption, through better engine efficiency and fuel cut-off when coasting. With a capacity of 3.2 litres, power output was 231 bhp @ 5900 rpm, torque was 284 NM @ 4800 rpm, and compression 9,5:1. Acceleration to 62 mph was achieved in just 6.1 seconds and top speed, where permitted, is 152 mph.

Our 911 Cabriolet has had just two keepers and is presented in excellent condition just as one would expect. Originally supplied by Autohaus Spindler Porsche, Wurzburg in July 1989, our car is complete with stamped original service book, all the MOTs from 1993, handbook pack, jack and toolkit and spare keys. It has enjoyed a recent Porsche specification service and a new N-rated tyre set, and air conditioning service. All in all, an unrepeatable Porsche in close-to-new condition to delight any true collector. Our Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet will also be supplied with a 12-month written warranty.
