Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2

This beautiful Carrera 3.2 cabrio in timeless color combination was delivered in December 1984 by Rietzl Porsche Audi Inc., Norwell Massachusetts. The first owner owned the car for 33 years, after which he was exported to the Netherlands in December 2017. The second owner imported the car to Belgium, after which he drove very little with the car.

The history is beautifully documented through the original maintenance booklet, the original maintenance invoices and the Carfax.

We are proud to offer this car in an exceptionally original condition. This 911 is without exception in its original factory paint and has no mentionable traces of use. All original books, the complete original tool bag and compressor are present. The wheel arches, chassis and engine compartment are in great condition without any form of corrosion and are still in its factory wax. The car is fully matching numbers.

Porsche revived the name Carrera in 1973 with its luxuriously equipped, top-of-the-range 911. Until then, this name was only used for competition derived versions of the predecessor of the 911, the 356. From model year 1984 the name was used again, together with the introduction of the 3.2 engine.

Although it remained an air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine (flat 6), the 3.2 engine was 80% new and contained an effective cam chain tensioner and associated lubrication system, which ultimately dealt with a 911 shortcoming. This new engine ensured that the Carrera had a level of performance that approached that of the original 911 Turbo of 1974. A quarter of a century later the Carrera 3.2’s are very sought after. However, finding one in top quality is not easy.
