Le véhicule en détail

Offered here is what is surely one of the final Porsche 911s to be Reimagined by Singer in their ‘Classic Study’ format. Completed by Singer in January 2025, the Black Watch Commission was built to the highest possible specification in an effort to create a car that harkens back to Porsches of yesteryear but with a modern twist. It is offered today by its commissioning owner, having accrued only delivery mileage since its reimagining.
Mechanically, the Black Watch Commission is outfitted with the 4.0-litre engine option, alongside a titanium exhaust, five-speed manual gearbox, Öhlins adjustable suspension, carbon fibre roof, and carbon ceramic brakes. Built to UK specifications but in LHD configuration, the car is currently located in Southern California and can easily be registered in the US, UK, Continental Europe, or elsewhere, and modified according by Singer to suit any jurisdiction. Outside, the car is finished in Oak Green Metallic, a historical Porsche hue sourced by Singer at a cost of $11,800. The wheels are nickel coated in Porsche’s traditional Fuchs style with black backgrounds. The car has been fitted with full paint protection film by Singer.
The Black Watch Commission takes its name from its interior trim, highlighted by its ‘Black Watch’ tartan inserts, a black, dark blue, and green tartan which dates to 18th century Scotland and is similar to the tartan interior trims seen on 930 Turbos in the late 1970s. This is offset by Espresso leather and some further detailing, such as the carpeted floor mats and deviated stitching, matched to the blue in the tartan. The backs of the four-way adjustable sports seats have been painted Oak Green Metallic to match the exterior. The car features the early 911 gauge set, a $8,400 option from Singer, alongside the Porsche Classic Navigation System with Apple CarPlay.

Exceptional attention to detail can be seen throughout the Black Watch commission, including in the Singer logos in the interior and on the rear decklid and the 4.0 engine badge finished in 24-carat gold. A handful of other special requests were made on this car as well, including fitting stock 911 interior door panels (as opposed to Singer’s own door panels), rear decklid grill mesh finished in black, velocity stacks for the 4.0-litre engine, painted rear seat hinges, leather wrapped center console inserts, USB-C fittings for the infotainment, a leather wrapped steering surround, and revised door handles.
Finally, our friends at Singer Vehicle Designs have agreed that this car’s warranty will be transferred into the new owner’s name upon their purchase. Thus, the new owner of this spectacular commission will enjoy a full 12-month warranty from Singer Vehicle Designs.
With the order books for the Classic Study having been closed two years ago and production now coming to an end, the Black Watch Commission represents that one final, tantalizing opportunity to experience Singer’s original ‘Reimagining’ of Porsche’s 911, and can be collected straight from Singer’s facilities in Los Angeles.
