This stunning 1982 Porsche 911 SC Targa, finished in its original and rare Wine Red Metallic, is a well-preserved and tastefully upgraded example of the iconic G-Body era. With approximately 170,000 miles on the chassis, this car has clearly benefitted from attentive ownership and ongoing care.

Mechanically, it’s strong and ready to enjoy. The legendary 3.0L flat-six engine delivers excellent compression across all cylinders—155–160 psi—with less than 5% leakdown, pointing to previous engine work and a healthy powerplant. The 915 5-speed transmission shifts confidently, and the car drives with the solid, communicative feel that made the SC a standout in its day.

A prior high-quality respray in the car’s original Wine Red Metallic gives the Targa a deep, rich finish that stands out without being flashy. A tasteful and functional upgrade includes a 993-style “basket handle” third brake light, seamlessly color-matched to the body, blending safety with style.

Inside, the cabin features a warm and inviting two-tone brown and tan interior, with front seats recently reupholstered by the previous owner. The Targa top is in excellent condition and seals tightly, making this one of the quietest G-Body Targas we’ve driven in recent memory.  The AC is functional and blows nice and cold.  Additional vent added above floor console.
