Talbot yellow is a reasonably rare color for an SC and this one is really terrific with the cork interior that we’ve updated to include Watson Weathered 16oz tartan inserts. The interior also features new jet black German square weave carpeting, a new black leather dash, door tops and package tray. The car was repainted in its original color earlier in it’s life and this paint presents very well. The trim, door handles and wheel centers have all been refinished in black, and new windshield rubber installed when the dash was removed to be recovered.
Mechanically, this car checks all the boxes and has been fully inspected. Following a full Sonderwerks PPI we have a very strong motor with compression between 125-130 (typical for a lower compression ’79) and leak down numbers, all in the 0-2% range. While the chassis has over 170k miles, you’d never know it looking this car over. This motor was refreshed at 87K miles and still remains in excellent mechanical condition. The 915 transmission was rebuilt in 2017, shifts beautifully through all the gears and the brakes, suspension and electrical systems have all been thoroughly inspected and are ready for the road. The Falken ZIEX ZE950 tires are the correct size, have excellent tread and are date coded from 2022.
