Originally the water cooled Porsche cars where hailed as the successor’s of the Porsche 911 line up. But as it turned out, changes where in the wind by Porsche in the early 90’s. The Porsche 968 was the evolution of the predecessor of the 944 model. The 968 model was more refined then the 944 model, had more power and more features the 944 line up.
One of the big improvements on the Porsche 968 was it’s marvelous 3 litre engine. It was perhaps the best water cooled engine Porsche ever build. With relative low total production numbers build up to production end in 1995 it becomes increasingly harder to find any good examples of these marvelous cars.
