Introduced in late 1991, the Porsche 968 entered production as the highly refined successor to Porsche’s 944 with sleek, aerodynamically efficient bodywork and pop-up headlamps reminiscent of the 928. The M44/33 DOHC 3.0-liter inline four-cylinder 968 powerplant remains a revelation, delivering 236 factory-rated hp and 225 lbs./ft. of torque with uncanny smoothness and driveability maximized by Porsche’s new VarioCam system. A newly available six-speed gearbox was utilized with the rear-transaxle drivetrain pioneered by the 968’s predecessors, the 924 and 944. While highly successful, the 968 is quite rare, with just 12,793 examples built in total through 1995.

Retaining extremely rare, factory-applied Riviera Blue paint, all original-etched glass, and inviting cloth upholstery, this Porsche 968 is a startlingly original “ROW” (Rest of World) six-speed model, exported to Japan and sold new by Mizwa Porsche in Tokyo. Imported to the US in 2019, it is offered with only 70,700 km (43,931 miles), supported by a CARFAX Vehicle History Report and service invoices including major services performed in 2020 and 2021.
