The 911 type 991 is no exception: for Porsche’s current flagship, as for its predecessors, the multiplication of variants is inevitable. GT3, Turbo, Turbo S…. The latest is called GTS, a label already seen on the predecessor 997: on paper, it presents itself as an intermediate version between the Carrera S and the GT3. While not quite as sporty as the latter, the GTS is still a civilian model, and ultimately a purist version of the Carrera range…
Like its Carrera and Carrera S siblings, the GTS is available as a coupe or cabriolet, with manual or PDK gearboxes, and in 2 and 4  RM. Good news for those who like to use their elbow grease, and who found the Carrera S too sedate…
In Phase 1, the 991 GTS was equipped with the X51 engine kit as standard, delivering 430 hp. In Phase 2, power is increased to 450 hp.

The 3.0-liter flat-6, inherited from the Carrera S, receives the X51 engine kit (revised camshafts, cylinder heads and intake), boosting power to 450 hp (a gain of 30 hp). The Chrono Sport pack also comes as standard, as do a few finishing touches (alcantara steering wheel, contrasting stitching, etc.).

In addition to the GT3-inspired front bumper and 20” wheels with central nut, the GTS also receives a number of specific styling effects: the black rear grille as a nod to retro, and above all the widened fenders and rear track (+36 mm), usually reserved for the Carrera 4 and 4S integrals, present on all GTS models including rear-wheel drive. Still on the chassis side, suspensions are slightly firmer and lowered by 10 mm.
