Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS Clubsport

While sharing the same 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with the standard GT2 RS, the unit in the Clubsport was optimized with a new intercooler featuring a redesigned supply-and-return air feed, and a water-spray system to help cool incoming air and decrease intake temperatures. Developing 700 hp at 7,000 rpm and 553 lbs./ft. of torque at 2,500 rpm, power was channeled to the rear axle through a rigidly mounted seven-speed PDK – or Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe – dual-clutch gearbox. Other enhancements over the standard model included a revised exhaust system and three-way adjustable shock absorbers with individually adjustable compression and rebound settings.

Weight-saving measures included the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic on the roof, front lid, front bumper, doors, tail section, and rear deck lid. As is typical in motor sports, superfluous comfort items were deleted throughout, substituted by an integrated safety cage, onboard data acquisition, a removable carbon steering wheel, 115-liter FT3 safety fuel cell, an airjack system, and an FIA-approved Recaro racing bucket seat with six-point safety harness.

Depending on additional equipment, Porsche Motorsport stated the Clubsport weighed approximately 1,390 kilograms (3,064 pounds), 165 pounds lighter than the standard GT2 RS. Yielding an impressive power-to-weight ratio of just 4.3 lbs./hp, the Clubsport was stated to rocket to 0–60 mph in 2.7 seconds with a 211 mph top speed. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife in June 2021, a Manthey Racing-prepared Clubsport piloted by Lars Kern achieved a production-car record of 6 minutes, 43.3 seconds.

Completed in September 2019, this Clubsport is no. 75 of only 200 built at the company’s motor sports facility in Flacht, Germany, where the 911 GT3 Cup, 911 RSR, and 919 Hybrid were developed. Finished in Pure White (code C9A) without a livery, this Clubsport was ordered with a $25,000 spares package consisting of wheels, brake components, and other parts. Accompanying items include original delivery parts and accessories, an additional Recaro seat, documentation, and a binder of technical literature.
